Service Description

The Intermediate Level 3 of The Art of Perfumery 101. Intermediate Level 3 is the final stage of the Intermediate cycle, dedicated to systematic accord construction rooted in classical French perfumery methodology. At this level, participants transition from exploratory blending into structured compositional architecture. Accords are developed as functional systems (accords à tiroirs), where each component holds a precise role within the fragrance structure. Structural Framework Each accord is built with four compositional “drawers”: - Identity — the core olfactory theme - Texture / Body — density and tactile impression - Diffusion / Air — projection and radiance - Shadow / Structure — depth, contrast, and longevity The objective is to maintain structural clarity and consistency from opening to drydown. Laboratory Development Participants will construct and refine accords across key olfactory families: - Fruity - Woody - Gourmand - Marine - Beverage-inspired Each accord is evaluated based on volatility balance, diffusion control, structural integrity, and evolution. All formulations are executed exclusively with aroma chemicals and refined raw materials. No fragrance oils are used. Fantasy Accord Development Following classical training, participants advance into Fantasy Accord construction. Fantasy accords move beyond literal replication of nature — focusing instead on atmosphere, abstraction, and conceptual illusion — while remaining technically stable and structurally coherent. Final Project Participants are required to: - Develop five structurally sound signature accords (including at least one fantasy accord) - Integrate them into one fully conceptualized perfume composition The final work must demonstrate structural balance, evaporation consistency, conceptual clarity, and technical precision.
